Figure Study in Oil Demo
This painting was done on a piece of 8 x 10 MDF board with a limited palette of titanium white, yellow ochre, burnt umber, and french ultramrine blue. It was done in 4 sessions with a couple of days in between for each layer to dry enough for the next layer.

The painting started with an initial sketch using burnt umber thinned with turpenoid. |

Did some corrections and adjustments and started the form modeling. |

Almost completed the form modeling. |

Scrumbled yellow ochre over the figure, then painted the background and foreground. Please ignore the strong yellowish tone, it was from taking the picture under regular yellowish room lighting. |

Make some final adjustments and this is the final result. |
