Since I feel like I’m in a rut, I’m going back to my favorite medium of quick sketching with charcoal pencils and chalk on toned paper.

A quick half hour pan pastel sketch on 9 x 12 Borden & Riley white charcoal paper. Think I finally found something I can use this paper for, didn’t like the texture of it for anything else.

Another 4.5 x 6 inch pan pastel painting, including the borders. Done on Arches watercolor paper primed with mixture of gesso, pumice and raw umber acrylic paint.
